Arise Athletics is not your typical gym where membership merely grants permission to come use equipment and hope you’re on track to your goals. Every workout at Arise is performed with the guidance of an experienced coach who ensures your effort is moving you in the right direction. It's our dedication to knowing your goal and taking an active role in guiding you there that makes our gym unique.
Arise is owned and operated by Colton and Giannina Tessener, two dedicated fitness professionals with nearly 20 years combined experience. After working in "big box" gyms, the couple made the goal of establishing a facility where a smaller, more intimate community setting leads clients to a better experience and better results.
Arise Athletics was recently awarded Small Business of the Year
by the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce.

I'm committed to deliberate, planned training that does not leave anything to chance; our time and effort are valuable so my goal is always to optimize training so that there's no doubt that the work put in is advancing us toward the goal.
The benefit of physical training is not only the strength, leanness, or stamina you build, it's the empowerment resulting from facing a worthwhile challenge and beating it. That power extends to every other facet of your life leading to greater trust in yourself and knowledge of yourself. At the core, that's the real purpose of training.

I believe close personal relationships are at the heart of a successful fitness program. My biggest strength is developing connections with individuals to help them find the motivation they need to better themselves and the desire to uplift others.
My goal is to design classes that are challenging and fun, that foster a sense of community, and that benefit both body and mind.
